Final checklist
The submission deadline for the ConnectNYC Fiber Challenge is in one week. If you haven’t started yet, now's the time — it only takes 10 minutes to fill out the form!
Remember: you can save your submission as a draft, and work on it one bit at a time. Just be sure that you finish and enter by 2 p.m. EST on December 27.
Here’s a handy checklist to help you wrap up (or begin) your submission. Make sure you can answer “yes” to each of these questions before hitting the submit button.
Submission checklist
-
Does your submission title include the name of your business?
-
Did you include at least one image of your business or logo?
-
Is your business address standardized? (If you’re not sure how to standardize your business address, check out this link in our FAQ).
-
Did you select which type of internet connection you currently use (dial-up, DSL, etc.)? If you selected “other,” did you explain your selection?
-
What's the download speed of your current internet connection? Did you note this in your submission? Did you note the speed that your location needs?
-
If your business is located in an Industrial Business Zone, did you indicate which one?
Eligibility checklist
- Does your business have 100 or fewer employees globally?
- Do you lease, sublease, or own an office in NYC?
- Do you conduct business at your office location in NYC?
Landlord reminder
Don’t forget—if you’re selected as a finalist, you will need to submit a signed landlord agreement to us within seven business days of notification. We strongly encourage you to begin this conversation with your landlord ASAP to ensure there are no surprises. Visit our resources page to download an email template and a flyer to send to your landlord.
Keep spreading the word
One of the judging criteria for this competition is Potential for Industry Clustering (weighted at 30%). You’ll score higher in this category if other businesses in your area submit an application, so it’s really important to let other companies and landlords know about this offer. Feel free to share the above flyer with a small business or landlord nearby.
Questions?
We’re here to make the submission process is as seamless as possible. As always, if you have any questions about the challenge, shoot us an email at support@challengepost.com and include "ConnectNYC" in the subject line.
